These instructions only work for those that have access to SPSS through Windows Virtual Desktop. To get access contact your division's Managing Director.
The licenses on the server are limited so not everyone can use them at the same time, be respectful and logout of SPSS when it is not in use.
1. Go to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/connect-macos and click on "download" as shown here:
2. Click "Open App Store" in the pop-up window.
3. Click on "GET" and then "INSTALL."
4.You will be prompted to input your Apple ID and password. Please note that this is not your Ugla credentials.
5. Click on "OPEN."
6. Click "Not now."
7. Click on "Continue."
8. Click on "OK" and then again "OK," for each pop-up window.
9. Navigate to "Connections" in the menu bar and click on "Add Workspace."
10. Copy and paste this URL: https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com/api/arm/feeddiscovery in the text field. Then click on "Add."
11. Input your University of Iceland email address and click "Next."
12. Input your University of Iceland password and click "Sign in."
13. Click on "Skjáborð fyrir SPSS." Make sure you are in the "Workspaces" tab active.
14. Input your University of Iceland email address and password. Then click "Continue."
15. The Windows Virtual Desktop should now open. You can find SPSS on the desktop as well as OneDrive (we recommend using OneDrive to access your files to use in SPSS).
16. The next time you want to use SPSS, open Microsoft Remote Desktop and click on "Skjáborð fyrir SPSS."
