Here you will see how you install a script for MacOS to connect to eduroam. Note that this script works for MacOS operating systems 10.7 to 10.11. If you have 10.6 system we advise you to update to 10.9 for free in App Store. If you have an older system we advice you to visit our IT Help Desk.
Always use your e-mail address as username when connecting to eduroam.
Install script for eduroam:
1) Start by downloading the script by clicking on the "Download" button below:
2) When you click on the eduroam-script you just downloaded then this Profile window will pop up. Click on "Continue":
3) Here you will have to insert your University's e-mail address and password. (The same as you use for Ugla and webmail). Then click on "Install":
4) You might be asked for the password to the computer. Type that in and press "OK":
5) Now the installation is finished and you should be able to connect to eduroam without a problem:
Connect to eduroam:
Now your device is ready to connect to eduroam. Next time you are at the University or an institution that provides eduroam connection do the following:
6) Click on the WiFi icon at the top right corner of your screen. Turn WiFi on if it is off and choose "eduroam":
7) Type in your e-mail address and password. Remember to use a full e-mail address with @hi.is.
Check "Remember this network" if you want your computer to connect automatically next time. Then click on "Join":
8) Now you should be connected to eduroam and should connect automatically from now on. If you are asked for a username and password be sure to type in your e-mail address WITH @hi.is behind and use the same password as for Ugla and webmail.
